Every week I update my blog and what it is that my dog Timber has done or accomplished. Through my learning experience from professional trainers, I hope to provide you, my followers an informational how-to for training your dog.
My experience with dog training has come a long way since 2016 when I started training my own PTSD service dog. One of my goals is to eventually become a professional dog trainer myself. All the techniques that I will be sharing with you come from two different professionals that currently operate a business that trains Police canines as well as family canines. As I work with Timber throughout the weeks to come, I will be adding notes and tips they have given me. If they can train Police K9’s I am sure they know how to train our family pets to have some manners as well.
Though I have done some dog training, there is still much more to learn. Every trainer has their own personal touch on how to accomplish the desired outcome. I am hoping to find and grow this skill within myself. Through this experience I am hoping to possibly make everyone laugh but understand why that mistakes happened.
At the end of the day, we are all talking a ride on this roller coaster of dog training. Some days we may get frustrated that the training is not going the way we like but we have to remember that this is a process and everyone is learning both the dog and ourselves. I hope that everyone will obtain some useful information and get a kick out of my sense of humor when working with these dogs.
